Supercharged Cougar

Hi everyone.

Some of you might know me from the UKCougar club where I am a moderator, and from NECO where I have been around for years.

Anyhow, thought it was time I joined my Euro cousins....so here I am.

For those of you that don't know me, I currently own the UK's only supercharged cougar. At present it produces 348bhp and is curently in the bodyshop having a custom bodykit made up and fited.

So does anyone else in Europe have a supercharged or turbo charged Cougar??

...wish I had, but (as you may know) there are a few restrictions in Germany coming from "TÜV". So it wouldn´t be easy to supercharge a Cougar `round here.

And if you try to do so, you should have twice the amount of money for a supercharger (TEU 8,0 or so), because of all the other things you have to buy or to pay for, to get your cat back on the street. :bomb

In meantime that´s more money you`ll need to buy a Cougar itself!! :o

So, I think there´s none `round here (still no one I know or heard of). :(

Would be nice to hear about some impressions belonging to your cat or if there were any problems with the engine??

Even nicer to see you (and your car) at "Borken-Meeting 10/11.06.2006"...

Hi and welcome on Board!

Actually we have an Turbocharged Cougar in Germany. Its Adams car. Its an V4 with an Turbo. He is an Guy from the US so he works with the US rights and could do this modifications.
But I havent seen him for a long time around here.

Do you have some pictures of your Cougar and also an dyno-sheet of your incredible 348hp.

What engine modifications are made there?? "Just" an supercharger or more??

Sorry for the long delay. I keep forgetting to check this site.

Below is a piccie of the 2nd to last run they did on my car. The picture showing the 348bhp graph is on my corrupted home PC which I have yet to fix. This one is close enough though at 341bhp lol

Engine mods were as follows:

Fully gas flowed and ported.
Completely Blue Printed engine
Uprated Con Rods
Uprated Pistons
Uprated Oil pump
Uprated water pump
Uprated fuel pump with an extra inline fuel flow booster
Titanium engine bolts
C1 Model Procharger and intercooler
Weapon R Headers
Fast Road CAMs
Emerald 3D Engine management system
eeerrrrr...I think that's it.

That's just the engine mods, I wont even mention the gearbox, clutch and Quafe diff !!

that sounds really nice.....i would love to see this car in reality!!
Perhaps you like to join the biggest Cougar meeting in Germany in Borken this year (actually more than 40 Cougars...)?

It would be great to have such a power in my Cougar.....
But in Germany you wouldn't have a chance to pass our "TÜV"

wow!!!! What a performance!!

I wish, I could see the action on track!! -...and see, how a porsche-driver looks like, when he´s bumper-followed by a cougar!!!

But it´s so much work to do such an upgrade - in fact, I have a deep respect for your work(!!) - leaves me a little bit (is it right to say so...) jealous of this kinda engine power!

Have fun with it and let it roll!!!!!
